What or who is the Truth
John 8:32
If I ask you to tell me who the truth is as a follower of Jesus what would your answer be?
If I ask you what the truth is as a follower of Jesus what would your answer be?
In John 8:32 Jesus says “Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free”. There’s an important word here “Then”. Then what, it implies that if we do something THEN we will know the truth and the truth will set us free. What do we need to do? We need to ‘hold on to His teaching, then we are his disciples’ John 8:31.
So our salvation is so much more than the intellectual acknowledgement of Jesus as savior, it is a heart issue. It’s getting it from our minds into our hearts through revelation knowledge imparted by the Holy Spirit. We must believe in our heart that he is savior and be obedient in our minds and our wills. Obedience is key to salvation and to experiencing revelation knowledge from the Holy Spirit. These things I have spoken to you so that you may be in my JOY and your joy may be complete. I have told you these things, so that in me you might have peace. Once again we need to investigate what things Jesus has told us, remain in me, obey me, love one another – be obedient and be blessed.
Jesus said I am the Truth and since He, the father and the Holy Spirit are one and the Holy Spirit lives in us, then the Truth lives in us but we must wash in the Word and plead the blood daily so that we grow in the power of the Holy Spirit. Without this growth, this cultivation, we are powerless, weak and lukewarm. With this power we can do all things through Christ, we can do what He did and even greater things.
Mediate on the word day and night, never let it out of your sight, write it on your hearts, listen to the lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, pay attention to His commands and heed his decrees because just as water reflects the face, so the life reflects the heart. Wash your soul (heart, mind and will) with the living water and cover it in the Blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit will testify with your spirit and you will walk powerfully in the Holy Spirit.
The world wants to see the Power of Christ. I want to taste and see that the Lord is good and be a follower of Jesus Christ that God can use and that satan fears.
To end let me ask you to raise your hand if you are ordained?
Let me rephrase that question, raise your hands if you’ve been ordained by God?
We are all New Testament Priests, under the High Priesthood of Jesus Christ. Ordained by God to preach the good news and do all that Christ did on earth and even greater things. Go and make disciples and train them up. Do signs and miracles, health the sick, raise the dead all in the name of Jesus Christ to glorify God the Father. That is the Dunamis Ekklesia – the powerful called out ones.
